Astonish is committed to protecting your agency’s privacy and developing technology that gives your agency and your customers the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Astonish website and governs data collection and usage. By using the Astonish website, your agency consents to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information

Astonish collects personally identifiable information, such as your customer’s and agency employee’s e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. Astonish also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to your agency or your customer, such as zip code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.

There is also information about your agency’s computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by Astonish. This information can include: your agency’s IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by Astonish for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Astonish website.

Please keep in mind that if your agency or customers directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Astonish public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. Note: Astonish does not read any of your customer’s or your agency’s private online communications.

Astonish encourages your agency to review the privacy statements of websites your agency chooses to link to from Astonish so that your agency can understand how those websites collect, use, and share your agency’s information. Astonish is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the Astonish and Astonish family of websites.

Use of your Personal Information

Astonish collects and uses your agency’s personal information to operate the Astonish website and deliver the services your agency has requested. Astonish also uses your agency’s personally identifiable information to inform your agency of other products or services available from Astonish and its affiliates. Astonish may also contact your agency via surveys to conduct research about your agency’s opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

Astonish does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. Astonish may, from time to time, contact your agency on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to your agency. In those cases, your agency’s unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, Astonish may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send your agency’s email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your agency’s personal information except to provide these services to Astonish, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your agency’s information.

Astonish does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your agency’s explicit consent.

Astonish keeps track of the websites and pages our customers visit within Astonish, in order to determine what Astonish services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within Astonish to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

Astonish websites will disclose your agency’s personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Astonish or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Astonish; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Astonish, or the public.

Use of Cookies

The Astonish website uses “cookies” to help your customers and your agency personalize their online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on the end-user’s hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to computers. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your agency and your customers’ computers, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to your agency or your customer.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save your agency and customers time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that your agency or customer has returned to a specific page. For example, if your agency or customer personalize Astonish pages, or register with Astonish site or services, a cookie helps Astonish to recall your agency’s or customer’s specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your agency’s or customer’s personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When your agency or customer returns to the same Astonish website, the information your agency or customer previously provided can be retrieved, so your agency or customer can easily use the Astonish features that your agency or customer customized.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but your agency or customer can usually modify the browser setting to decline cookies if preferred. If your agency or customer chooses to decline cookies, your agency or customer may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Astonish services or websites your agency or customer visits.

Additionally, we use third-party advertising companies (including Google and Pardot) to serve ads which may have referred your agency or customer to our website. These companies may use information (not including name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your agency or customer’s visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to your agency or customer. If your agency or customer would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by Google, click here.

Pardot is the maker of Prospect Insight, a web marketing automation suite. Pardot sells and distributes Prospect Insight to third party clients who may use it to gather information about their own visitors and clients, including IP address, operating system, web browser, and pages visited. While Pardot sells only to ethical clients, it cannot be held responsible if its clients engage in unethical use of the information gathered through Prospect Insight.
